Cinema and live entertainment venue in the heart of Cochrane, Ontario since 1954. Empire Theater is more than just a movie theatre. Along with the cinema, we also have a family restaurant, an ice cream parlour, and have started hosting Playstation 5 parties and live shows.

If you appreciate historical buildings and old school theatres you should visit this theatre. Don’t expect VIP seating or bells and whistles just simply a good feel old fashion theatre that most of us didn’t get to experience growing up.
I drive into Cochrane to enjoy a movie once in a while only because of the history it holds, the feeling of an older theatre, its quiet and to support the theatre.
Would be a shame to loose this!
