From Cochrane to Moosonee. Come back on the Polar Bear Express. First day, we leave from Cochrane and make our way to Onakawana Camp. On the second day, we take it slow! We will go for a small ride on the Abitibi river and we will do some ice fishing. On the last day, we make our way to Moosonee, go ride on James Bay and make our way back to Cochrane on the train.
Then crossing Abitibi Canyon, riding bush roads, seeing Otter Rapids and riding on the power lines.
We will visit Moose Factory, Moosonee and go ride on James Bay (Arctic Ocean).
We meet at the Best Western in Cochrane at 9am. We leave from Cochrane and make our way to Onakawana Camp riding in the A103 trail. We will stop for a quick lunch at the Base Camp. Then crossing Abitibi Canyon, riding bush roads, seeing Otter Rapids and riding on the power lines. This day is around 250km. We will have dinner at Onakawana Camp.
We take it slow! The second day is time to relax / sleep in. We will enjoy a late morning, go out and do some ice fishing or/and cut wood and make a bonfire and go for ride on the power lines to go see the old lignite mine and Moose Crossing village. Lunch and dinner at the camp.
On the last day, breakfast around 8am, leave by 9am, we make our way to Moosonee riding power lines and the Moose River. We will have lunch in Moose Factory. We will visit Moose Factory, Moosonee and go ride on James Bay (Arctic Ocean). We will end our day by loading our snowmobiles on the train and head back to Cochrane (10pm). We can enjoy a meal and liquor on the train ride back.
